These terms apply to every quotation, order and job we carry out. By placing an order or paying a deposit you agree to them.

1. Quotations

Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued. Prices exclude VAT unless stated. A quotation is based on the information, measurements and artwork available at the time; if the site, the vehicle or the brief turns out to be different, we will confirm any change in price before going ahead.

2. Artwork and design

When you supply logos, images, photographs or other material, you confirm that you own it or have permission for us to reproduce it.

Design work starts once we receive a design deposit of £35.00 + VAT, which is deducted from your final invoice. Artwork time is charged at £70.00 + VAT per hour, billed in half-hour units. Amendments after the first round of proofs may be charged at the same rate.

Our designs and visuals remain our property until the job is paid for in full. They may not be passed to another sign company or supplier to produce. If they are, an artwork charge of £70.00 + VAT per hour spent will apply.

We are happy to work with your designer, agency or marketing team and to produce from their artwork.

Nothing is printed until you have approved a proof. Please check proofs carefully; once approved, we are not responsible for errors in spelling, content or layout that appear on the approved proof.

3. Booking and lead times

On receipt of your order we provisionally book the job into our diary and issue a deposit invoice. Your slot is secured once the deposit is received. Our diary typically runs two to three weeks ahead; if you have a fixed deadline, tell us when you order.

4. Site installations

You are responsible for giving us safe access to the site at the agreed time, and for any landlord, building or planning permissions the signage requires, unless we have agreed in writing to arrange them. If an installation cannot go ahead because access, permissions or the site are not ready, a revisit charge may apply.

We take care when fixing to walls, glass and structures, but cannot accept responsibility for hidden services (cables, pipes) we have not been told about, or for damage caused by surfaces that are not sound.

5. Vehicles

Vehicles must arrive at our workshop washed and clean. Time spent cleaning, or removing old graphics, Chapter 8 kits or adhesive residue, is charged at our hourly rate; please tell us in advance what needs removing.

We take every care when applying or removing vinyl graphics, Chapter 8 kits, wrap films and paint protection film. We cannot accept liability for damage caused by poor or non-original paintwork, and it is your responsibility to tell us about any paint repairs the vehicle has had. Manufacturer badges may be removed where the approved artwork requires it.

6. Vehicle wraps: materials and warranty

We install cast wrap films from 3M, Avery, Hexis and Orafol. Material warranties are provided by the manufacturer and are subject to their terms; we will help you with any claim.

Rust, bubbling, scratches, dents and other surface damage will show through film and may cause it to fail early. Paint must be fully cured for at least 30 days before film is applied. We do not wrap over primer, and no warranty applies to chrome, plastic trim, mastic or non-factory paint.

Manufacturers rate materials for up to 5 years (premium films 7 to 10), but the real life of a wrap is usually 3 to 5 years depending on weather and aftercare. Horizontal surfaces such as roofs, bonnets and bumpers may need replacing after 1 to 2 years of strong sun. Damage caused by the customer or a third party is not covered.

7. Payment

Deposits are required before materials are purchased and to secure your booking, unless agreed otherwise. Orders under £250.00 + VAT are payable in full in advance. Orders over £250.00 + VAT require a deposit of £250.00 + VAT or 50% of the total, whichever is greater.

Deposits for vehicle wraps are non-refundable once materials have been ordered.

The balance is due on completion. We accept BACS and credit or debit cards (not American Express). We do not accept cheques.

If payment is not received within 10 days of the invoice date, your account will be placed on stop and no further work carried out until the balance is cleared. Goods remain the property of Sign Rite Grafix Ltd until paid for in full.

Any query about an invoice must be raised within 10 days of the invoice date.

8. Cancellations

If you cancel after we have started design work, ordered materials or begun production, you will be charged for the work done and materials bought up to that point.

9. Liability

Our liability for any job is limited to the value of that job. We are not liable for indirect losses such as loss of trade or profit. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Photographs of our work

We may photograph completed work for our website and social media. If you would prefer we did not, let us know when you order.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
