About Us
Started with a brush and a steady hand in 1985, now a wide-format print and sign-making workshop with its own fitters on the road. Same family, same phone number, same standard.
After forty years, there isn't much we haven't seen. A high-street fascia that needs planning consent. A glass partition that needs DDA-compliant manifestation. Fleet livery that has to match across twenty vans. A pop-up that has to open on Friday morning. We work directly with business owners, and as the production and fitting partner for design agencies, shopfitters and in-house brand teams who need their artwork made and fitted properly. Bring finished files or a rough idea. Either way you get a fixed price, a proof before anything is printed, and a finished job you're proud to put your name on.

The Short Version
Sign Rite Grafix is a family-run sign and graphics company in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. Phil Aliphon started it in 1985, and forty years on we still design, print, make and fit everything ourselves: shop fascias and retail signage, office branding and wall graphics, window manifestations and privacy frosting, interior wayfinding, exterior signs, and vehicle graphics for one van or a whole fleet. It all happens in our own studio on Rabans Lane Industrial Estate, and the same team sees your job through from the first measure to the last fixing, across Aylesbury, the Home Counties and London.

Director
Nathan Aliphon
Grew up in the workshop and now runs the production side of the business. Leads the design, print and fitting teams, and nothing leaves the workshop without his sign-off.
Founder
Phil Aliphon
Started the business in 1985 pinstriping and signwriting vehicles by hand. Proud of every job, a perfectionist about the finish, and the calm one when things get chaotic.

1991
Our first apprentice. Nathan, aged two, in the original Sign Rite Grafix studio in Norfolk. (Start them young.) He runs production now.
1985
Sign Rite Grafix founded by Phil Aliphon, serving London and its boroughs. Hand-painted lettering and pinstriping on cars and vans.
2006
The end of outsourcing print with out first wide-format printer (solvent-ink Mutoh ValueJet) Everything printed in-house from here on.
1992
The move to Aylesbury. A bigger workshop on Rabans Lane Industrial Estate, the base we still work from today.
2018
HP Latex 365. Wallpapers, murals and wall graphics, printed without solvent so they go straight into live offices.
2008
Nathan joins the business properly. Old enough to be on the books, which after sixteen years of unpaid work seemed fair.
2025
Rebranded for our 40th year. We kept the colours, redrew the mark and rebuilt the site to fit the business we’ve grown into.
2020
Open through the pandemic. Work carried on, and we made the social distancing graphics and signage that let other businesses keep trading.
Most of our work is within an hour of the workshop: Aylesbury, Thame, Wendover, Tring, Aylesbury Vale, Milton Keynes, High Wycombe, Oxford and across Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire. Our fitters are in London most weeks for retail installs, office fit-outs and vehicle livery, and multi-site roll-outs take us nationwide.
